If you’re a 360 owner, you’ve probably played through developer Epic Games’ “cover is king” gory, slick shooter Gears of War. You’ve probably hopped online and sprinted toward the center of the maps for the
killer weapons, hoping to get the jump on your opponents and show them how to perform executions in style. You probably also got word of the PC-exclusive brumak battle and felt like you might have missed out on an epic boss fight. Well worry no more, as it’s obvious from the footage shown at E3 that 360 owners will get to take on that huge beastie, and a whole lot more.

Before the official announcement, people were asking, “Are they making Gears of War 2 on the Xbox 360 console?” Does the Lancer cut through a Locust grunt like a greased knife through hot butter? It really was a no-brainer that the game was coming, but what no one knew was where it would take Marcus Fenix and the hardened members of Delta Squad. We all saw the Lightmass Bomb rock the foundations of the Locust Horde, but no one could have foreseen the disease known as Rust Lung that would come down in the aftermath in a twist of irony for humanity. With this new problem at hand, what could be worse than having entire cities vanish? It’s pretty obvious the Locust threat remains, and that they’ll be implementing nefarious plans to get revenge.
We all know that we’ll be fighting the Locusts with chainsaw duels and “human” shields, but what other kinds of toys will you be playing with? Speaking of toys, how about that possible Gears of War 2 premium package with a real life (although unfortunately non-shooting and non-sawing) Lancer?
